2010 - 2012: Product Development Manager

  In early 2010 joined internet Banking team to support delivery of Retail Online Banking portal. System is expected to host multiple businesses with single code base using extensions for functional deviations.

 Achievements:
  - Successfully implemented Internet Banking in UAE, Botswana, Tanzania, Kenya, Mauritius, Seychelles and Ghana.
  - Scope of work includes write technical design, code review, funtional testing and post production support
 

2012 - 2014: Technical Architect

  Due to proximity with African businesses, played a role of Technical Architect and design features for Internet platform to push digitalization and adoption of platform.
 
 Achievements:
  Designed Solutions for
     - Bill payment with Merchant integrations - by configuration (As of 2016, Over 120 merchants integrated by DB configuration - no code change)
     - Near real-time processing for Domestic Funds Transfers - reduced processing from days to hours to transfer funds
     - Adaptive Mobile rendering capability using jQuery mobile
     - Invited customer registration
     - Customer controlled Alerts (Revenue stream for the bank)
     - Small SME / Single user business Banking transaction management (Created extension within Internet banking to support small SMEs)
     - Context aware cross sell marketing banner management
     - Spend Analyser
     - Video / voice chat plugin - (Prototype only)
     - Call back request facility pre and post login
     - Case Management for Self service portal
     - Business managed Transaction notes on every pages and sections
     - Customer Document upload and management
     - Global Account View

  Worked closely with Business, partners and internal teams to confirm practical design and to derive cost of implementation
  On top of designing, I was to oversee delivery to ensure the features are delivered (within internet Banking)
  Successfully implemented Internet Banking in Egypt, NBC, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Portugal, Italy, Spain and Germany
  Egypt business has online only presence with no Branches (Digital offering only) 



2014 - 2015 : Lead Technical Architect

Achievements:
 Most of Barclays countries were live by late 2014; To satisfy applications outside Internet Banking, upgraded platform to support non-secure implementations and adopted Client side architecture.

  Wealth India Portal for Relationship Managers was delivered on early release of the platform.



2015 - 2016 (Present): Lead Technical Architect and Head of Programme

Achievements:
  - Adopted strategy of OSGI and Convention over configuration thus adopting spring boot to be underlying framework to push forward native cloud application agenda.
  - Replatformed server code thus making the platform ready for API based stateless Micro Services. Its near rewrite of the codebase with  learnings from earlier implementations.
  - In 2015, team had tranformed to 'consultant team' rather than active development. Projects - Global Card Payments (Issuing), Partner Finance, Strategic ID&V, Instant Loans, etc,. started on the new the platform at different points.
  - In early 2015, Platform code made open source to enable rapid adoption within the bank and contribution for improvements.
  - Launched Certification program for the platform to certify all developers including vendor partner developers
  - In 2016, the platform is declared as strategic platform for all Barclaycard projects. More projects were onboarded  - Global Forms platform, Customer onboarding portals, etc,.
  - Standardization of Devops toolsets, CI Process and release management. With current approach, reduced start time of the project to less than week to get functional code into CIT environment (automated)
  - I had organized 3 Hackathons so far with 2.5days each. Up to 30 developers from various teams partcipated and delivered many critical fixes and features with almost no budget.
